Leading Safer Communities

Northern Indiana Public Safety Leadership Pilot

Let's Work Together - Apply Now

Who should apply?

Professionals currently working in or directly supporting public safety operations in Northern Indiana, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency communications, corrections, emergency management and civilian public safety support roles.

What should participants expect?

This is not a lecture-heavy leadership class. Participants should expect:

  • Realistic public-safety leadership scenarios

  • Decision-making practice

  • Opportunities to work through difficult conversations

  • Tools for knowing when to direct, teach, coach, or seek additional input

  • Discussion around accountability, empathy, trust, and communication

  • Practice applying leadership judgment under pressure and uncertainty

  • Reflection on how to better develop and support others

Because this is an inaugural pilot, participant feedback will also help shape how Leading Safer Communities is refined and potentially expanded to other public-safety organizations across Northern Indiana.

When and where?

December 11, 2026 in Auburn, Indiana
Space is limited. Submission of an interest form does not guarantee participation. You will be contacted with additional information and a pre-development survey if your submission is accepted. Thank you!
